Atmospheric Dry Deposition on Spirit Lake

Atmospheric dry deposition is particulate matter from the atmosphere and surrounding area, we want to quantify the influx of the dry deposition on Spirit Lake at Mount Saint Helens in order to understand how much nitrogen and phosphorus the atmosphere provides the lake.

What I learned

I have learned a lot of great things such as: how to create your own sampling device for something that is not really done, writing research proposals, understanding how nutrients in lakes can be analyzed, and the impact of nitrogen and phosphorus on lake systems.

Advice for future applicants

Be passionate about what research you are doing.
