Anti-Racism in Public Health Book Club
The project responded to the lack of low stress, peer-led spaces in academia where students could meaningfully confront structural racism. Using literature by BIPOC authors, participants explored the historical and ongoing effects of racism in healthcare and society through guided discussion and reflection. Takeaways and observations from these conversations informed the development of a “Best Practices for Anti-Racist Conversations” guide for future use within the School of Public Health and the Students of Color for Public Health.
